"My brain is like a bad neighborhood. It's not safe to
go in there alone!"
So says Eric Kohner, AD/HD coach trainer. Most adults with AD/HD
don't need therapy to identify their "baggage", what
they need is someone to help them carry it! A coach can help
increase understanding of how you function best, and move you
beyond a deficiency mindset toward releasing your full potential.
My training from
Limitbusters Academy was from one of the pioneers in the
field of AD/HD coaching. I work with clients all over the nation
developing skills, strategies, structures, and giving support
to these overcomers. My clients range from a CEO of a Chicago
land development corporation, to a high-school-aged snowboard
video producer, to a single mom and her daughter in North Carolina,
as well as pastors all over the country.
In 1993 I was diagnosed with AD/HD and it has explained many
of my life's difficulties and triumphs. I believe in a "multi-modal"
approach to overcoming the difficulties of our unique neurophysiology.
Success requires more than a single medical, psychological,
or academic approach. According to Dr. John Ratey and Dr. Edward
Hollowell, co-authors of "Driven to Distraction" one
of the most effective additions to anyone's efforts is a personal
coach.
